Paradontology is a field of dentistry which deals with diseases of the supporting apparatus of the tooth, such as the gingiva, periodontal ligament and bone. Such a disease is called periodontosis.

Each onset of this disease is always the same. Gingivitis is the first symptoms of periodontopathy: if you notice that your gums are sensitive, that you can easily injure them with food or normal hygiene, if you notice swelling or redness of the gums, it is time to go to the dentist, in order to prevent the following stages: the gums swell and begins to form “pockets” that are filled with dental plaque. If you don’t react in time, these enlargements in the gums become deeper, the infection is more severe and the bacteria are more numerous – and the destruction of the surrounding tissue takes off and endangers the otherwise perfectly healthy teeth.
